Blue Bird Pottery JPS has been creating handmade ceramics since 2021. It started off as a hobby and then grew to become a business.
I worked hard to maintain my commitment to quality and craftsmanship over the years.
HI! I'm Janine from Blue Bird Pottery JPS. I create handmade stoneware tableware made with passion at my home studio set in the beautiful Welsh countryside. A little rustic look to my items such as mugs, bowls and espresso cups, glazed in fresh colours. Handmade ceramics have a uniqueness, no two pieces are the same.
Each of my products are handmade from scratch, one at a time. Sometimes, marks of my work will be visible, but I feel these add to the handmade nature of my products and make them truly unique. There are three techniques of hand building which are Pinch, Coil & Slab Construction.
I make use of Slab Construction as I enjoy putting separate pieces together to create a beautiful item. I mainly use Flecked Stoneware clay to give me the rustic look which goes well with my designs. I also make use of Porcelain Clay. I'm always willing to listen to requests to personalise an item for a customer.
